Selection Criteria

We consider the following criteria when assessing an organization:

PROGRAM
Thoughtful and well-conceived proposals that clearly outline what issue(s) the project/organization will address and how.

LEADERSHIP
Strong leadership with a track record of success and a proposal that explicitly articulates how the organization is accountable to the communities it seeks to serve.

IMPACT (RELEVANCE)
Strategic and specific proposals that have the realistic potential to create a meaningful positive transformation for Muslims in the United States.

SCOPE, SCALE, & CAPACITY
Potential of carrying out the proposed work, clear plan for obtaining additional funding if necessary, and partnerships necessary to maximize resources.
