Emgage is a national civic education and engagement organization that focuses on deepening the civic knowledge of Americans Muslim, increasing Muslim voter participation and turnout and effectively advocating on issues that are important to American Muslim communities.
Emgage is ramping up its year-round nonpartisan voter engagement program across multiple states where American Muslim communities are poised to deepen their civic participation. In 2019, Emgage will expand its existing year-round work in Pennsylvania and Michigan, as part of a broader campaign that also includes Florida, Texas andVirginia. Additionally, Emgage will support Muslim organizers in states where they do not have chapters by providing consultation and training. Through the Voter Activation Network (VAN), Emgage has unique access to all registered voters, including likely Muslim voters, and it aims to increase civic participation through phone and in-person outreach. To accompany its on-the-ground and digital work, Emgage is developing a voter guide, which contains election and ballot information, as well as relevant voting procedure and policy, to be distributed at religious and community centers throughout the state, as well as electronically to its complete contact list.
