Request Overview:

Ta’leef exists to address the unique challenge of meeting people where they are on their spiritual or life path, without judgement, and in an authentically welcoming manner. The Arabic word Ta’leef, means “to reconcile” or “to bring together.” Since its formation as a non-profit organization in 2009, Ta’leef has focused on its mission: to provide the space, content, and companionship necessary to enable a healthy understanding, practice, and realization of Islam. Ta’leef is strengthening and expanding its six core programming areas: convert care, “Inheritors” youth program, wellness services, ReEntry circles for formerly incarcerated people, “Living and Learning” classes, and “Ta’leef Academy.” Ta’leef is committed to expanding its programming beyond its current hubs in Fremont, California, and Chicago as it undergoes critical leadership transitions and staff development to carry the organization forward on solid footing.
